The Peacock mini is the compact version of Hakkin's classic platinum hand warmer, made in Japan. It slips easily into a pocket or glove. Fill it with fuel and warm the burner with a flame for a few seconds. From then on the platinum catalyst does the work: the fuel vapour slowly turns into heat, with no flame and no smoke.
Why people keep theirs for years
- About 18 hours of warmth from one full fill
- About 13 times the heat of a disposable warmer (Hakkin's figure)
- Works down to −40°C
- Steady temperature from start to finish
- Refillable, with a replaceable burner and cotton
Specifications
- Size: 58 × 87 × 13.5 mm
- Fuel: 1.5 filling cups (about 19 ml) for about 18 hours
- In the box: hand warmer, filling cup, pouch and instructions
Good to know
- Always use the warmer inside its pouch or cover. It is hot enough to burn bare skin.
- To keep it working at its best, replace the burner every one or two seasons.
- Fuel is not included and can't be shipped internationally. Zippo lighter fluid works and is easy to find locally; our fuel guide explains more.
